Hello September!

Hello, friends! It's been too long. But it's slowly starting to feel like fall (the leaves are changing colour in our yard!) and like clock work, I'm ready to blog again and embrace all the beauty of the upcoming season. I enjoyed two glorious months off with my husband, Martin, this past summer. We worked on our house, saw friends, celebrated my birthday as well as our wedding anniversary. It was lovely!

But, I feel myself itching for structure... more time spent writing for the blog, more workouts (kind of slowed that down over the summer) and a more predictable schedule - what can I say?! It definitely brings me comfort to know what life looks like from week to week.

Some fun things I'm looking forward to this month:

Blogging: I feel like... getting back! I'm yearning to write, have a place to archive our little moments & adventures, and do it in an authentic and low pressure way. Sometimes it's easy to feel like you have to fill your weekends with all the things and get great content. And, create separate content for all your social media channels too. It feels insane to me. Haha! I'd much rather focus my energy here and share my life exactly where it's at and focus less on curating. In this season of life... it doesn't feel like it's serving me.

Adventures: Oh my gosh, I wrote out the longest list yesterday for all our fall adventures / bucket list ideas, and while I'm not sure we'll get through all of it... I'm SO excited to start checking off as much as I can! We want to go apple picking, head to the pumpkin patch, explore a few farm to table destinations, visit nearby historic coffee shops, and generally explore our new surrounding area. If you didn't know... we moved to a historic town last year and there's so much to see & experience.

Walks & Time Outside: I'd love to head out after dinner and spend a little more time outside and go for after dinner walks. Or honestly, even sitting in our front yard with a cup of tea and take in the last of the sunshine... sounds perfectly lovely too!

Make an Apple Crumble: Since we're going apple picking (it'll be my first time), I want to make an apple crumble. I'm eyeing this one. It's super easy and I'll 100% report back.

Planning Friendsgiving: We recently revamped our dining room (I plan on doing a full before & after on the blog) and now, yay, we're able to host more people. So naturally, I want to decorate our table with all the plaid linen, pumpkins, and have our friends over for an autumnal inspired dinner.
